The Masks We Wear

Thursday, October 31, 2019 – Sunday, November 3, 2019

The time of Oct. 31st (Hallowe’en) and November 1st and 2nd (Day of the Dead) is a time to acknowledge and celebrate those times, people and things of life that have shaped us and to allow that “death” of these things is not an ending but a chance for new life. We look at the Masks life has encouraged us to create and then let them go into the fire. When you move Through the Rainbow you cannot help but be changed on the other side. Refracted we break through and find the colour of life within each breath we take.
Join us for this Yoga and Mindfulness retreat on Bowen Island. Surrounded by the Nature we all come from, allows the opportunity for an exploration of the experiences that have then shaped each life. We will explore through Yoga classes, Breath, Meditation, Nature Therapy walks, Journaling and Storytelling. Learn self massage and how the return to touch can heal.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

Getting There
I choose Bowen Island because it is easy to get to and does not require becoming stressed to reduce stress. :)
You can take a car if you want to but it is not necessary.

Either Foot Ferry (Bowen Taxi) from Coal Harbour
Or drive, bicycle or city bus to Horseshoe Bay the 2:20 or 3:30 departure will have you there in perfect time. You can take and earlier ferry but please do not arrive at the Center early.

Float Plane: (Harbour Air)
Float Planes come right into the dock at Snug Cove (location of Ferry dock)

By car from the ferry it is a 5 minute drive to Nectar Yoga. Please drive slow and be aware deer wander everywhere.

Arriving on foot take the little Translink bus. If you have a compass card you can use it. If you have a paper transfer from the mainland bus you can use it.
You will take the # 280 Bluewater and tell them you are going to Nectar Yoga off Grafton Rd. They are wonderful and will drop you at the foot of the driveway. (5 minute ride)
