This is a Google calendar. It can be added to your calendar or printed. If you are looking on your phone please turn screen sideways to see full schedule. Apparently IPhones don't show the far side of the monthly calendar so I have chosen the agenda version. You can click on the tab in the top right corner if you are wanting the Month view.

Always check the schedule to ensure you are coming at the right time. There are pre-scheduled dates where a class does not run. Please inform yourself.

Please do yourself the favour of being at least 5 minutes early.

If you find yourself late:
Please take a moment outside, make sure your phone is OFF (no vibrate), shoes and jacket off, pause to make sure we have completed the opening meditation and then quietly join in with as little disruption as possible.
If you are more than 10 minutes late please consider another class. Jumping into class without knowing what is happening in counterproductive to what you are trying to achieve.(no brand new students late please, take time to look at a map so you know where to be)
Time cannot be taken from those who are present on time to catch someone up who has arrived late. (Asteya - one of the 5 Yamas)

Sessions:

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

A Session: runs bimonthly.
A Series: is a weekly class that runs within a Session.
Classes: each have a specific purpose and allow for a maximum of 6 students and run with no less than 3. If you don't sign up there is no guarantee a class runs. There are only a few small group classes, as the concentration is on Private tuition. They are made available as not everyone can or wants to do Private Sessions. It allows for quality, caring learning while sharing space with others.

Sign Up: available up to 2 weeks before the start of classes and is done online. A series will be cancelled if there are not 3 participants a week prior to start.
Expiry All series expire at the end of the session for which they were purchased. Health matters will be taken into consideration.
TransferringClasses CANNOT be transferred to another person.
What if the session has started? Once a series/session has started classes may be prorated for the remaining time left, space allowing.

This is a rare opportunity to receive high quality instruction in very small group classes. You will receive a lot of personal attention and there is opportunity to ask questions and learn best practices for your body.

SENIORS AND STUDENTS:  
If there is a need for a discount please connect with Beverly. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Having a chance to practice is far more important. You can always offer Seva(service) in return. If no discount is needed the studio appreciates your support of its service to all and assures that those who do need assistance will receive it.

DONATIONS:
There is a donation jar available to anyone who feels they would like to contribute to others being able to practice. 
If you feel you received something extra and want to share your gratitude, or you feel strongly about supporting others at the studio it is accepted with gratitude. Offerings will be used to continue gifting knowledge and practice forward.

THURSDAYS
Unlock Your Rib "Cage" and Shoulders  
We call our Thoracic Cavity our Rib Cage and as our bodies move through our days we become contained by that cage. Locked in by the posture we assume working at computers, sitting in chairs and couches, and watching our cell phones. Come unlock the door to stronger shoulders and backs, a more open chest, better ROM in the rotator cuffs and a breath no longer trapped at the top of your lungs.
The shoulder floats as a free form with the collar bone supported on the sternum and the scapula suspended by muscles to the skull, back, ribs and arms bones. Posture and lack of movement or injuries can lead the support tissues to be strained, tight, or tired and can then misalign the bones within the structure. Change your normal and find ease in your breath and body.

Class incorporates, Movement combined with Yin, Hatha, Pranayama and Meditation and teaches you the anatomy of your body.

Possible benefits: more mobility in shoulders, spine and thoracic cavity, less head, back and shoulder pain, reduced anxiety and better posture to name some.
DOES NOT RUN EVERY SCHEDULE…Can be chosen as a Private Session focus.

Private Classes:

Private Classes are the other half of your available learning at Ocean Breath Yoga. Beverly is known for her ability to interpret what she observes within each individuals physical presentation and guide them on a journey of exploration that build their knowledge of and ability to interpret their unique needs.

Learning One to One:
One of the best ways to create the practices needed for your body and your life.

Possible Reasons for Private Sessions:

  • Consideration of physiological issues which might negate a group class or use as an addition to a health or holistic program.

  • Time one on one with a teacher to work on specific aspects of your practice.( i.e poses, balance, philosophy etc)

  • Understanding how proprioception will enhance your external connection and communication.

  • Reduce stress and anxiety.

  • What is Mindfulness really? And how can incorporating it into your life change how you perceive the life you inhabit.

  • You want to set up a home practice for yourself that can be followed daily.

  • You prefer your practice to be a personal time where the focus is on what you need (Freedom to be more creative)

  • Pre or Post sport activity, preparation or recovery (i.e. marathon or cycle training, soccer, hockey, kayaking....)

Classes start at $125 + GST Per Hour (minimum one hour) Class cost determined by specific needs (i.e at studio or external location), numbers of people attending, how long the class is and how many are being booked.Specific details of what may be required will help to start the process of planning.

Sessions For Private Groups:
At another physical location [where there may be an ability to work with larger groups. (i.e. place of work)] or which will tie in to a work or event plan.

  • Office yoga to learn how to use your office work space to stretch open.

  • Corporate team activities based on mindfulness and grounding to reduce stress and/or increasing creativity and productivity.

  • Learning the unrecognized blocks to communication. How you inhabit your body influences how you generate communication verbally and nonverbally in your interactions.

  • Nature Therapy Sessions. Here Nature is the therapist, Beverly is the guide to how to recognize its teachings.

*(Package pricing is only available if prepaying for classes an 12 sessions must be completed within 6 months or they expire ).
