Nature Therapy

Nature Wellness/Therapy is a path to health which is not a new and miraculous discovery, but rather a return to something most indigenous and nonurban cultures have known throughout their histories.

It is a practice that requires you to accomplish nothing. Rather than trying to do or acquire or complete something, you instead are simply there to experience and follow invitations shared from Nature.
This can either be in a short distance on a forest trail, or within an urban park.

Ways to Experience it

As a company: team building or mental health day
Individual guided walk
Retreats - Either join a retreat or hire me to guide
Workshops - Monthly small group sessions

Benefits

Forest Therapy provides for lower stress and anxiety and adds to higher levels in the sense of well-being along with an increase in disease fighting NK (non-killer)cells. The cells known to fight cancer.

Blood pressure lowers, while stress hormone levels are reduced. It can have an effect on cardiac health and mental wellbeing. Basically time in nature without any pressure to meet some goal triggers our Parasympathetic nervous system, the system that is far more restorative to our physical and mental wellbeing.

Next Sessions

There will be Forest Bathing at the Autumn Retreat on Bowen Island
October 31st to November 4th, 2019

Small group session dates are being finalized and will be available shortly.

Nature Therapy/Forest Wellness walks are designed not with a goal of getting somewhere but with an intention of experiencing something. This may come through invitations with the environment, or gently guided programs which expose individuals to natural stimuli that is neither threatening or overexerting.
Called anything from Japanese practice of ShinrinYoku, to Nature Rx or Nature Bathing

I am never alone wherever I am. The air itself supplies me with a century of love. When I breathe in, I am breathing in the laughter, tears, victories, passions, thoughts, memories, existence, joys, moments, and the hues of the sunlight on many tones of skin; I am breathing in the same air that was exhaled by many before me. The air that bore them life. And so how can I ever say that I am alone?
